Brew Guide : V60



EQUIPMENT

Pour over brewer (like a Chemex or Hario V60), Coffee grinder, Coffee beans, Pour over filters, Kettle (preferably a gooseneck kettle for better water control), Scale, Timer

METHOD

1. Place the filter in your dripper and rinse it with hot water

2. Discard the rinse water and add coffee to the filter (1g coffee per 16ml water)

3. Slowly pour just enough water over the grounds to wet them, then wait for about 30 seconds for the coffee to “bloom’’

4. Continue slowly pouring the water in a spiral motion to keep the grounds saturated

5. Once all the water is poured, let it drip completely through

6. Discard the filter and serve the coffee

 

NOTES
Remember, brewing coffee is an art. Don’t be afraid to experiment with grind sizes, brew times, and water temperature until you find what tastes best for you!
